Baru baru ini, pada tanggal 25 September 2023, The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) mengumumkan 42 situs warisan terbaru UNESCO yang tersebar di 168 negara.

Mengutip dari laman UNESCO, terdapat dua jenis warisan budaya dalam daftar terbaru tersebut, yakni situs budaya dan situs alam.

Terdapat total 33 warisan dunia yang termasuk dalam situs budaya dan sembilan situs warisan alam.

Indonesia masuk dalam daftar negara dengan situs warisan dunia dalam daftar terbaru UNESCO tersebut.
